Frequently Asked Questions

We are happy to answer questions about Coach Cottage or help you plan your holiday. If you have any queries or require more information please contact us by phone, text or email.

Do you accept children?top arrowtop
Children are most welcome. Coach Cottage has a range of equipment for babies and young children. A table football for 2-4 players is available in the garage for older children. The village has a play area with zip wire and a football field 5 mins walk away.

Is the cottage suitable for mobility impaired individuals or part time wheelchair users?top arrowtop
Coach Cottage is rated as suitable for Older and Less Mobile Guests (M1) and for Part Time Wheelchair Users (M2) under the National Accessible Scheme. The cottage is a single storey with a ramp to the back door and offers a wide range of indoor and outdoor lifestyle and bathroom mobility aids so you only have to pack suitcases and not mobility equipment.
Guests who use a wheelchair part time have stayed in Coach Cottage and they and their carers have complimented us on the facilities available. There are a couple of caveats to our M2 status for wheelchair users in the bathroom. So to determine if Coach Cottage would suit you, we recommend you read our Access Statement which provides greater detail e.g. furniture measurements, mobility aids etc. and additional photos to those on our Accommodation page.
Mobility scooters may be hired from the local Mobility Centre in Cromer.
Our Things to Do page gives details on the accessibility of local beaches and attractions.

How secure is the garden?top arrowtop
The garden is surrounded by a wall (tall at back; waist height at front) and a sliding metal gate closes the forecourt to secure the premises. Outside the gate is the drive that just serves our immediate neighbours and has little traffic.

Do you accept dogs? Can we take our dog to the beach? Are the local cafes and pubs dog friendly?top arrowtop
We welcome well behaved dogs by prior arrangement. We charge £20 for one or two dogs per stay. You will be asked to sign the Pet Addendum at the back of the Booking Terms & Conditions prior to arrival. Whilst there are restrictions on beaches in high season there are plenty of places to enjoy the beach with your dog. There are also many footpaths in, and around, Southrepps. Most cafes, pubs and hotels, especially in the villages are dog friendly. A list is provided in the cottage and some are given on our Eating Out page. When eating out with a dog in the evening you are strongly recommended to make an early reservation.

Coach Cottage has wifi and broadband TV offering catch Up TV with BBC iPlayer, ITVplayer, 4 on Demand, Channel 5 player and NowTV offering access to UK and US television shows etc. Wifi is also available at the village pub and many other places serving food.

Coach Cottage has a corded telephone which accepts incoming calls. Outgoing calls to emergency services 999, the operator 100 and to NHS medical advice line 111 may be made.

Additional parking for a single car may be available in the communal parking area, shared by neighbours, about 50m away. Otherwise there is parking on the public road about 100m away. Motorhomes may not be parked at the cottage or communal area; free parking is by the Village Hall.

Do you provide linen and towels?top arrowtop
We provide fresh cotton bed linen, towels and tea towels. If you stay longer than one week, we will change the linen usually on day 7.
